Flight of Teas! August 4th & August 5th

Hello tea fans, this weekend we are feeling the spirit of the Olympic games with our flight of England-themed teas! Get your taste buds into the game at our tasting bar, featuring Royal Wedding, Tower of London, & Diamond Jubilee!

In honor of the famous wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Historic Royal Palaces commissioned us to create a blend to celebrate the happy occasion. Royal Wedding is a blend of Mutan white tea, almond, coconut, vanilla, and pink rosebuds. Also blended with marigold petals and cornflowers, Royal Wedding's flavors take your taste buds to a place of classical romance. It is available in 30 count sachets and also loose leaf behind our tasting bar.

With flavors reminiscent of Elizabethan preserves, Tower of London is one of our more flavorful black tea blends. With a base black tea of Black Currant, a fruity black tea, we have stirred in rich Bergamot of Earl Grey and honey accents to create a bold but enjoyable afternoon tea. Our Paris blend lovers won't want to miss out on this tea!

Introducing one of our newest blends, Diamond Jubilee. Created in honor of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her accession to the throne 60 years ago, we have created a black tea blend of Earl Grey and grapefruit. A classic mixed with refreshing citrus, Diamond Jubilee is available in our HRP tins and loose behind the bar, for all ways of indulgence!

Flight of Iced Teas! July 28th & July 29th

As we reach the end of July, we will celebrate these warm, sunny days with a flight of iced teas! Come visit our tasting bar this weekend and try iced Jasmine, Indian Spice, & Passion Plum Herbal.

We take a Pouchong tea, which is slightly darker in leaf color than green tea, and blend fresh jasmine flowers to create our classic Jasmine tea. This light and floral tea is excellent over ice, garnished with a drop of honey or lemon.

With CTC Assam as its base tea, Indian Spice is our version of a Chai blend. Commonly, Chai teas are taken with milk and sugar, and our strong kick of black tea, cardamom and other zingy spices will be excellent hot or cold.

This tisane is a flavorful, caffeine free brew complimented with flavors of tart fruits like plum and fresh ginseng. Organic Passion Plum is the perfect iced tea for a picnic or summertime dessert.

Flight of Teas! July 21st & 22nd

Hello again, tea lovers! This weekend our taste buds are traveling to China to indulge in some delicious green teas. Come taste our Taiping Houkui, Jin Shan, and Anji Baicha.

Made in the Yellow Mountains of the Anhui Province, Taiping Houkui is a Chinese green packed with theanine (an amino acid) giving the leaves a rich green color and stronger flavor than other teas. In a special process, the big leaves are stretched out creating a light, flat leaf with a fuller body.

This mixture of white and green teas wonderfully twisted together is known as Jin Shan. Being an early season tea, this Chinese green carries a good mouthful of flavor with a hint of sweetness. In preparation, the leaves are only finished in a wok, making the vegetal flavor noticeable immediately when tasting.

Coming from the northern Zhejiang Province, Anji Baicha is a delectable Chinese green with rich flavors of citrus and asparagus. The first few leaves of this tea come out whiter in color, with less chlorophyll in the young leaves.

Flight of Teas! July 14th & July 15th

This weekend, our tasting bar is going to be featuring a flight of teas that celebrity chef, Marcus Samuelsson and Harney & Sons have created. The line of teas is named Ambessa, which in Ethiopian means "lion," to represent the pride and independence of the people of Ethiopia, and also represents Samuelsson's journeys around the world. Come by our shop this weekend to sample and enjoy Safari Breakfast, Choco Nut, & The Earl of Harlem.

Safari Breakfast is a blend of estate-grown African black teas. Carrying a rich aroma, this black tea is vibrant and full of life, embodying the chef's African roots.

Samuelsson reflects on his culinary awakening in Switzerland with this dessert tea blend Choco Nuts. Its base being an aromatic black tea, we have blended hints of dark chocolate, caramel, and peanuts. This tea can be enjoyed any afternoon or can be paired wonderfully with the perfect sweet treat.

The Earl of Harlem is a new take on a classic blend. This black tea holds bergamot notes of a familiar Earl Grey, but also a kiss of floral and undertones of smokiness. Without a doubt, this black tea blend doesn't only taste like home to Samuelsson, but will make any classic tea drinker's taste buds awaken!

Flight of Iced Teas! July 7th & July 8th

Hey tea fans! This weekend, enjoy a crisp iced flight of refreshing teas including Lemony Gunpowder, Lover's Leap, & Thai Rooibos.

The base of this blend is Gunpowder Green, a rolled Chinese tea that carries a hint of smokiness. Complimented with lemon, Lemony Gunpowder is excellent over ice; serve it with any kind of meal whether its sweet ice cream or tangy barbecue!

Located high in Sri Lanka, there is an old tea town called Nuwara Eliya, which is where we get our supply of Lover's Leap. This Ceylon has a lighter brew with a hint of lemon flavor naturally at the finish.

This spicy blend is based with Rooibos, a naturally decaffeinated tisane from South Africa. Together we blended cinnamon, ginger, lemongrass, and coconut to mimic the traditional "Thai Tea." Over ice, Thai Rooibos is both tangy and refreshing!
