Organic Flight of Iced Teas! July 30th & 31st

We hope you are enjoying these summer days! We want the sun to keep shining and the tea to keep pouring! This weekend, we are again featuring three iced teas. Organic Green with Mint, Organic Earl Grey, and Organic Passion Plum.

Organic Green with Mint is a smooth and refreshing Chinese green. The full leaf organic tea leaves are blended with a touch of peppermint picked from Oregon! Having a clean, crisp taste, this tea is perfect to cleanse the palette after a meal or to start the day!

Originally a blend from China, Earl Grey was given as a gift to the Prime Minister of Britain.  Our Organic Earl Grey is a blend of Indian black teas and natural Oil of Bergamot. The traditional tea is a thirst quencher when iced and with the smoothness of the black tea tied with the lemony kick of Bergamot, Organic Earl Grey will always be requested.

Organic Passion Plum has characteristics that will make your taste buds tingle! Containing American Ginseng, this herbal holds benefits along with a tart, rich flavor. Ginseng is said to help with anti-aging and lowering cholesterol. Help your body and your palette with this kick of a tea.

Flight of Iced Teas! July 23rd and 24th

With the weather reaching the high 90's this weekend, we are taking advantage of all the delicious flavors we have for iced tea brewing! This Saturday and Sunday, quench your thirst by trying our iced Bangkok, Pomegranate Oolong, and Organic Plain.

Being one of our most popular green tea blends, Bangkok,( also know as Green Tea w/ Thai Flavors,) has a Bancha tea base with lemongrass, vanilla, ginger and coconut. When these aromatic flavors come together, not only is the scent reminiscent of Thai cooking. Let your taste buds travel with this exotic tea!

With the spring floral oolong Ti Quan Yin as its base tea, Pomegranate Oolong is an excellent choice for a summer iced beverage. The full leaves of Ti Quan Yin infused with the juicy pomegranate create a fascinating blend hot or cold. Switch up your favorite summertime beverage this summer to something a little more tangy and unique!

Organic Plain is a hand-picked, full leaf black tea from China. While a very simple tea, Organic Plain has a sweet taste and is rich in body. While all around enjoyable, garnish this black tea with lemon or a natural sweetener like Agave; take simplicity to a whole other level.

Flight of Iced Teas! July 16th and 17th

This weekend we are cooling down with a flight of our popular iced teas: Organic Green Tea, Decaf Passion Fruit, & Raspberry Herbal.

With an invigorating kick of citrus flavor, Organic Green with Citrus & Gingko is hand picked tea from Southern India. Not only does it refresh but it is beneficial. Gingko has been said to better memory and increase blood flow through the body, while green tea is full of antioxidants. For health benefits or for taste, this tea brewed hot or cold will satisfy that summer quench you're looking for.

Decaffeinated, handpicked Ceylon is blended with tropical flavors to create Decaf Passion Fruit tea. The juicy and sweet flavors make this tea blend ever so popular this time of year! Have it over ice, garnished with lemon or enjoy it by itself and let your palette transport you to a tropical, flavorful place.

Raspberry Herbal, a tisane (which is the more accurate term because most herbal "teas" by definition contain no actual leaves from the tea bush,) is tart and succulent. It contains no caffeine naturally, and is blended with rose hips and hibiscus. The color of the brew is a dark rose, and the tea leaves are a beauty themselves!

Join us for an afternoon of tea and cheese with cheesemonger Carlos Yescas on Thursday, July 21st!  We'll be offering both of our tea cheeses and pairing tea with other two artisanal cheeses that Mr. Yescas will be bringing with him.  Swing by between 5-7 to discuss tea and cheese before dinner!

Flight of Summer Arrivals! July 9th and 10th

This weekend stop by to sample the flight of some of our new summer arrivals!
Wuyi Cassia, Wild Wuyi, and Dooteriah.

Wuyi Cassia, a cliff tea (Yancha) oolong grows in the Wu Yi mountains in northern Fujian province. Cassia translates to cinnamon, but don't be fooled  by the name! With the oolong's tight stripe shape and black bloom color, the brewed tea, itself a bright orange color, has toasty, complex flavors.

In the Wu Yi mountains, Wild Wuyi is planted at 1600 meters above sea level. This black tea, with its mellow aroma and fresh taste, faces climates of clouds and fogs throughout the whole year. Brewing a beautiful bright red, Wild Wuyi will become your new favorite black tea.

After summer showers in the mountain regions of Darjeeling, the weather cools while tea plants begin to flush again. Dooteriah, a classic Autumnal tea, comes from the East Valley region Dooteriah garden. Tasting light with notes of stone fruit, this classic third flush is a fabulous addition to our Darjeelings.
