Summer is officially here, tea drinkers! Too boiling outside to boil water for your tea? Don't fret, at the tasting bar we are chilling out with another refreshing flight of iced teas! This weekend we will be pouring Organic Green, Pomegranate Oolong, and Decaf Passion Fruit.

This green tea blend awakens the senses with its added organic lemongrass and gingko leaves. Organic Green is a favorite for the summer time, being a lovely green tea with no bitter taste!

Taking our large Ti Quan Yin leaves and blending it with tangy, fruity pomegranate creates Pomegranate Oolong. This tea creates a lighter brew but a tart taste that can be garnished with lemon or orange.

This full-leaf, decaffeinated Ceylon black tea is blended with succulent passion fruit flavors to create a favorite amongst our iced black tea blends. Quench your thirst with Decaf Passion Fruit and let the tropical flavors take your taste buds on a vacation!

Flight of Iced Teas! May 26th & May 27th

It's time for summer, tea fans! This weekend we are chilling out at the tasting bar with a flight of Iced Teas: Organic Bangkok, Organic Plain, and Raspberry.

This organic green tea is flavored with lemongrass, ginger, vanilla, and coconut. The blend was inspired by Thai teas and Thai cooking. Organic Bangkok is the perfect summer cup for a light but sweet brew and is a favorite amongst our green tea blends.

Organic Plain is hand-picked, full leaf Chinese black tea. With a medium bodied brew, this black tea iced has a sweet finish that compliments any garnish from lemon to orange.

Raspberry Herbal is a naturally caffeine free blend of hibiscus and red raspberry. With its tart brew, Raspberry Herbal has a strong but refreshing flavor. Pour this at any barbecue and it will become a fast favorite!

**This Monday, May 28th our tea shop will be closed for Memorial Day.

Flight of Teas! May 19th & May 20th

Hello again, tea drinkers! This weekend, stop by the tasting bar to try out some of our newer teas featured in our flight Saturday and Sunday: Jasmine Silver Needle, our new Puttabong First Flush, and our new Amba Ceylon.

This white tea, stretched out like Chinese Silver Needle, is flavored with jasmine flowers to create Jasmine Silver Needle. Its brew is on the lighter side (especially in comparison to our Dragon Pearl Jasmine,) and is the perfect hint of floral flavor.

Becoming a fast favorite, our new Puttabong 1st Flush Clonal is a Darjeeling that is greener in color and lighter in brew. The word "clonal" describes the type of leaf, which creates the excellent floral essence this tea produces. Fans of Darjeelings and those of even green teas will fall in love with the refreshing, light cup Puttabong makes!

This tea was discovered from a group of Sri Lankan women, creating hand-made teas. The interesting part about Amba Ceylon is the use of tea flowers as the final product in the tea, which is a rare occurrence in the tea world! Amba's big leaves create a slightly sweet brew, finishing with floral notes from the flowers. When indulging in this tea, keep in mind not only its excellent taste, but how it helps those 6 Sri Lanken women and their tiny tea farm.

Flight of Teas! May 12th & May 13th

"And yet of all the home remedies, a good wife and mother is still the best." Kin Hubbard.

This weekend, we are appreciating mothers everywhere with a themed flight to celebrate Mother's Day. Come and enjoy our Pomegranate Oolong, Paris, and Mother's Bouquet tea.

This time of year, our palettes welcome crisp and refreshing flavors that awaken our senses and welcome the blooming season. Pomegrante Oolong is based with our Ti Quan Yin, a spring floral Oolong, that creates a silky brew with tangy flavors.

In homage to Paris, France where Mike Harney enjoyed many tea shops, he created Paris tea. Its blend of fruity black tea, bergamot, and vanilla is reminiscent of one of the more popular teas in the city of lights! Now also available in decaf, this blend is suited for any tea drinker.

This herbal blend of chamomile, rosebuds, cornflowers, and orange peel infused with orange peel is the perfect tea for Mother's Day or any time you think of Mom! Mother's Bouquet creates a warming yet refreshing cup that's brew is mellow and gentle. Any kind of mother will love this tea this holiday.

Flight of Teas! May 5th & May 6th

Happy May, tea fans! Spring has sprung and with this season of new beginnings, we are serving a flight of teas featuring two new kinds! This weekend, our taste buds venture to Africa, enjoying a flight of Kenya Milima, Kangaita OP, and Kaimosi CTC.

Reminiscent of a lovely assam, Kenya Milima can be considered one of Africa's most elegant teas. Its leaves, larger in size, are packed with golden tips creating a lighter body and more mellow brew.

One of our newest teas, Kangaita OP is a rare find. It is harder to locate an African tea with full leaves, and Kangaita OP with its sweeter flavor was an instant gratification when searching for tea. This black tea is full bodied, similar to some of our Ceylons.

Our new Kaimosi CTC comes from the Kaimosi Estate, located between Lake Victoria and the Great Rift Valley in Kenya. This tea creates a dark, red brew similar to our CTC Assam. Kaimosi CTC is given three times as much time to oxidize, so though it is similar to the CTC Assam, it does not have as strong of a bite!
