Flight of Teas! June 9th & June 10th

With all of the rain we have seen lately, the trees around us have been greener than ever! This weekend our flight of teas is just as green, featuring Huang Shan Mao Feng, Bi Lo Chun, and Risheehat 1st Flush.

Huang Shan Mao Feng is a Chinese green that's name defines itself; Huang Shan, meaning Yellow Mountains (of the Anhui Province,) and Mao Feng meaning Spring tea, though it is from a little later in the season! This green produces a slightly sweet brew with vegetal notes, tied with a toasty aroma.

With frizzy, curly white and green leaves that are created by hand on the Dongting Island in Jiansu Province, Bi Lo Chun provides a light brew. There are subtle but refreshing floral notes to this Chinese green, possibly due to its surrounding environment of orange trees.

This excellent first flush has the similar body of our other first flushes, a lighter floral brew with a hint of vegetal flavor. Risheehat 1st Flush will please the nose and palette of any tea connoisseur or the honest beginner!
